Fund Raising Groups
Fundraising for projects and ministry areas is integral to church life. When people have been severely effected by bushfire, people of St. David’s have been generous in their giving. When people in country areas have been devastated by drought, people again have shared their resources in very practical ways. With our tsunami rebuilding projects, the people of this parish are again taking seriously the call from the prophet Micah: Do justice, love mercy, walk humbly with God.
While there are many fundraising efforts that arise due to specific needs, there are a number of groups whose aim is primarily to raise funds for various projects and ministries.
Wattle Club
The Wattle Club, previously known as the Parents Association, has been running for over 40 years, raising funds for the church and her ministries.
Community Services Group
The Community Services group has run for approximately 14 years, raising funds for the community. There are a number of community groups and charities that these groups regularly support.
The combined groups meet on the third Wednesday of each month at 8pm at St David’s Church, Drummond Street, Oakleigh.
New members are always welcome. For further information, contact Pat on (03) 9579 2908.
