Paul Potts singingPaul Potts worked in a mobile phone warehouse in South Wales and went about largely unnoticed, until recently at least. His appearance on the TV show Britain’s got Talent raised some eyebrows and he did not seem the kind of person ‘cultured’ enough to be able to sing opera.

The first round performance was amazing to watch. On the stage walks a man who lacks self-confidence. The music begins and suddenly there is a transformation … Without wishing to be unkind, it is as though the beast becomes the beauty.

The video clip of this touches me deeply every time. I commend it to anyone who would like to see some ‘good news’ as a change to the usual diet of news on our media services. You can find it on YouTube here.

Caitlin with a vege creationOn the third Sunday of September, we will see the return of our lunches and activities afternoons. All parents, those who are young at heart, and those who wish to encourage the children are invited to share in lunch and activities.

The Kid’s club runs every Sunday of the year from 10am until around noon. Children begin in worship with the congregation and contribut to the community sharing time. After some specific teaching in worship, the Kid’s Club continues beyond the Sanctuary where the children are able to learn and play in a suitable environment.

A creche is always available also.
