Worship of the Tamil Church, Melbourne
St. David’s Uniting Church, Oakleigh.
All are welcome to share in worship where we hear the passion of Jesus on the cross.
A service of footwashing and shadows. You are invited to share in the liturgy of the passion where Revs Mano and Arnie will serve and wash the feet of those who seek this. This is a combined service of the Tamil Church Melbourne and the St. David’s Uniting Church, Oakleigh.
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings of Holy Week we invite you to a brief worship on the readings for the day.
For many people God seems closest when things are most difficult in life. This can be seen in many of the troubled regions around the world, today and throughout history. As we explore the Covenant relationship between God and the people as expressed by the prophet Jeremiah, we find something startling. God keeps reaching out faithfully and visions for us that the ways of God will rest deep within our hearts. This means that deep within we will know of God’s love for us, God’s life, God’s hope, God’s salvation.
